Company History

In 1917 (Taisho 6), Murakami Hide began the shipbuilding of wooden ships and shifted to the shipbuilding of steel ships in the 1960s. Since its founding, the company has been in business for a more than a century and has constructed a wide variety of ships such as chemical tankers, oil tankers, LPG carriers, asphalt tankers, cargo vessels and container vessels.
From here on, Murakami Hide aims to produce vessels that will play vital roles in the shipbuilding industry while keeping its commitment in actively engaging in community-based activities.
